On Vision Sunday, we contemplated God’s mission for the saved in Matthew 28:18-20. Our goal as a church is for each member to reach someone for Christ. Every person who made a commitment that morning is now begging God for their “one” to be convinced of their need for Christ. They are begging God for boldness, and seeking opportunities to teach about Jesus. If and when that person accepts Christ, every person who made a commitment on Vision Sunday is going to personally mentor the new Christian and help them understand the rest of the Great Commission: being baptized and observing all things that Christ commanded us. If you made a commitment on Vision Sunday, keep on praying, keep on witnessing, and keep on serving! If you were not with us on Vision Sunday, I urge you to join me and the great number of members that made a commitment that day. Won’t you consider committing to the Great Commission? Won’t you do all you can to reach someone for Christ, by teaching them of salvation and by teaching them how to follow Christ? Ask God to give you someone to win this year. Each one can reach one because Christ said “lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.” Amen.
