As the leaves are falling from the trees and the grass is turning brown, it’s easy to focus on the lack of growth as we head into winter. Growth seems to slow down, events and activities seem to slow down, and life in general seems to slow down as we approach the “cold months.” (I, for one, totally blame the lack of sunshine) Many of us gradually shift into “maintenance mode” until Spring brings the excitement of growth back. As we get ready for the months to come, I want to encourage you to utilize the different time of year to dedicate to GROWTH. I am talking about personal growth. Read some spiritual books in lieu of Netflix binge-watching, spend serious time reflecting on the deep love of God if you get a quiet moment before bed, and make your walk with God your personal priority each morning. Seek to know God through the pages of His Word, seek to invest in your Christian community at church, and seek to live out the Person of Jesus Christ in your daily interactions, actions, and responses. Make this season be the greatest season of spiritual growth you’ve ever had! -Pastor Britt
