The outbreak of COVID-19 has caused many to fear and even panic. We are certain that no matter what happens in this life, God is in control. We also believe God doesn’t give us the spirit of fear, but rather the spirit of love and of a sound mind.
Although the panic may be overhyped, we are following recommended, common-sense steps to reduce the risk of spreading sicknesses at our gatherings. We will continue with all of our regularly scheduled services, but we will not be incorporating our “greeting time” in the service. We also are sanitizing all door handles, restroom handles and fixtures, and commonly touched surfaces after every service.
Although many will still be fine with a standard handshake for a greeting, please be sensitive to those who prefer not to shake hands and don’t be offended if someone doesn’t shake your hand 😁
As always, if you are ill with any serious sickness, please stay home. We have already been working to set up live streaming and online giving for those who are too sick to attend. Lord-willing, we will be up and running on both within the next month.
Lastly, do not allow social distancing to affect your love for God and others. Be a giver, not a hoarder. Be a helper, not a hindrance. Be a comforter, not an instigator of fear. Pray for those affected and seek to help others in our community as God would allow you to help.
