Our Beliefs

Our Beliefs

The following statements simply summarize what we believe as a church family. We believe the Bible and teach it to be perfectly true. For a more detailed account and description of our doctrine, feel free to request a doctrinal statement from the church office.

We believe the whole Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, is the verbally inspired Word of God without any error at all. (II Timothy 3:16) We believe in the literal interpretation of the Scriptures in their grammatical and historical context.

For church unity and textual reliability, we choose to use the King James Version in our ministries.

We believe that there is one, and only one, living and true God, the creator and rule of all existence. We believe that in the unity of the Godhead there are three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost, equal in every divine perfection and executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption. (John 1:1-14, Acts 5:3-4, 1 John 5:7)

We believe Jesus Christ was born of a virgin named Mary, and is the Son of God, and as such, Jesus is God. (Matthew 1:23, John 1:1, 14)

We believe that Christ died for our sins, and rose again from the grave three days later and that He alone is the way to being right with God. (I Corinthians 15:3-4, John 14:3)

We believe that Christ alone is the mediator and intercessor between God and man. (I Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 7:25)

We believe that every soul is born in sin and without Christ, will perish in an eternal lake of fire. (Psalm 51:5, Romans 6:23, 1 John 5:11-12, Rev 20:14-15)

We believe that in order to be saved from sin, the soul must be born again. (John 3:3)

We believe that every born again soul should declare his/her faith through baptism by immersion in water, understanding that this important act of obedience has no redemptive power of its own. (Romans 6:4-5)

We believe that Christ keeps those who are born again eternally secure. (II Timothy 1:12; John 10:28)

We believe that Christians are called to separation from worldly, sinful practices, unto a life of usefulness for Christ. (II Corinthians 6:17)

We believe a church is a body of baptized believers whose mission is to glorify God and ought to carry out that mission by the preaching and teaching of the gospel of salvation. (Matthew 28:18-20)

We believe in the pre-tribulational Rapture of the church saints, followed by the seven-year Tribulation. We believe in the pre-millennial return of Christ to the earth and His literal rule of one thousand years. Following this millennial reign is the Great White Throne judgment and then the new heaven and new earth. (I Corinthians 15:51-58; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; I Thessalonians 5:1-9; Revelation 19-22)
